Is this really just a circus side show?

The 2012 Republican nomination process has been under way for some time now , with a series of debates, that so far have shown that clearly the Republican party is coming up short when it comes to providing America with any meaningful choices. At the start of the race there was Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachman, who quickley fell by the way side, only to be replaced with Texas Governor Rick Perry. Perry lasted for a couple of weeks before being replaced as flavor of the week by Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney has held the top spot for some time, although he has had attempts at his number one rating by ex God father pizza ceo Herman Cain. Cain who had been climbing to the top of the pack on some of his simple to understand ideas ,like his famous 9-9-9 plan that did not really add up, before having his campaign derailed by a series of sexual harrassment claims. Then came the game stopper , an accusation from a woman who had claimed that she has been in a sexual affair with Herman for over thirteen years. That brings us to todays top spot holder Newt Gingrich. Newt like most of the other Republican candidates so far, comes with an overwhelming amount of baggage. He is famous of course for resigning as Speaker of the House, and the House it self. In the wake of many ethics violations,he was also sanctioned $300,000.00 for making inaccurate statments to the ethics committee. Newt said at the time "In my name and over my signature, inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements were given to the committee" he was also sited in many affairs while he was trying to impeach then President Clinton, accussed himself with sexual misconduct. At the time of his resignation Newt Said "I'm willing to lead but I am not willing to perside over people who are cannibles. My only fear would be that if I tried to stay, it would just overshadow whoever my replacment is."After leaving the House Newt became a paid consultant for morgage giant Fannie mae and Freddymac earning millions of tax payor dollars. There are a few others who are running in this race but have not yet reached flavor of the week staus. They include Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman. And the circus goes on stay tuned.
