Not the Governments responsibility
After watching most of the Republican debates , one thing is in absence in most all of the conversations, jobs. While the group does talk about a wide range of subjects, they hardly touch on the subject of jobs. When this does come up they usually just say that it is not the Governments responsibility to provide jobs and move on, telling us how it is up to the private sector to create jobs. This comes from a group of people who are all government employees. Everyone of their jobs were created for them at a cost to the American public. This I got mine you get yours mentality is what has gotten America into this position to begin with. These people need to understand that the identified need, is why their jobs were created in the first place. If it were not for the identified need , then these people would be handing out carts at Wal-Mart like the rest of us. In this time of high unemployment ,these elected officials should be working on finding anyway to bring the jobs back to America( identified need ) , and if that means they need to be just a little bit on the protectionist side , then so be it. The time of giving away the store to the special intrest groups should be a thing of that memories are made of. We need to bring about sustained growth in America, not just in one industry, but across the board. Tariffs, this need not be a dirty word , and it does work apparently as our trading partners seem to use this against us when things are not up to their expectations. Leveling the playing field is something that brings about the added measure of advancement and should be used to it's full potential. Trade war, only if you call it that by name.Otherwise it is just doing business, and don't think for a moment that others in this world wide trade don't use everything at their disposal to advance their agenda.
