Why do you think this is right?

Once again we are getting the short end of the proverbial stick , if you think for a moment that this is what our founding fathers had in mind, when they set forth on this grand experiment called Amerca. Everyfour years we gather together as a nation to elect, or hire someone we hope will be the right person to lead us as a nation to a higher place. We try to look for someone who brings forth new ideas for achieving these goals, someone who can work together with the other two branches of government. The House and Senate are set up to balance out the decision making process, and to limit any one person from obtaining too much power. For the past three years our politicians,of both parties, in both branches of Congress have been engaged in a fight, to show the other party that they are the ones in control. They seem to have forgotten that they do indeed work for the citizens of America. Further, they seem to have forgotten that they are supposed to work as American's to better the lives of all people who live within the boundries of America. These days, the power of the special intrest groups and lobbyist, have completely shut out the people of America from having any say in the decision making process. Gone are the days when if something was going to help the majority of American's, then the House and the Senate would do their all to make this happen. Today sadly, the main goal of all who call themselves public servants,(and this is what they are supposed to be ) are only beholding to whoever brings the most to the table for their party. It's well past time, for all of the finger pointing and name calling to cease. Time for the politician in both parties to roll up their sleves and get serious about fixing the problems that are facing America, before it is too late.
